We collect information you provide when you create an account (name, email address), complete the onboarding questionnaire (separation stage, family situation), use our platform tools (questions and conversations), upload documents to the platform, and make payments (processed by Stripe, we do not store card details).

2. How we use your information

We use your information to provide and personalise the platform, improve our tools and services, send important account and service notifications, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We do not use your information for advertising purposes.

3. Platform tools and your data

Your conversations with our platform tools are used to provide responses within the platform. Our tools are powered by third party technology providers. Your data may be processed by these providers in accordance with their privacy policies. We do not use your personal conversations to improve our tools without your explicit consent.

4. Document storage

Documents you upload are stored securely with encryption at rest and in transit. Only you can access your documents.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing help@divorcedecoded.com.au. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections, encrypted data storage, and access controls. No system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies required for the platform to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Your rights

Under Australian privacy law you have the right to access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion of your information, and complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles.

We will notify you of significant changes to this policy by email.
